Rick Wakeman Revisted
Friday: 10:00 PM - 12:00 AM

We pick out the best bits from Rick's Saturday show and make them all shiny and new for you.
Legendary keyboard player Rick Wakeman began his music career as a session player for artists including David Bowie and Black Sabbath, before joining bands The Strawbs and then world-famous progressive rock group Yes in the early 1970s.
Whilst with Yes, he started releasing solo material including albums The Six Wives of Henry VIII and Journey to the Centre of the Earth. He left Yes at the end of 1973 (although it has since re-formed) and went on to write scores for several musicals, as well as stage a huge concert on ice - The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and The Knights of the Round Table. He also performs with his son Adam and has released a number of albums with him as Wakeman and Wakeman.
He joined Planet Rock in September 2005 and presents our Saturday morning show with David Jensen from 10am-1pm every week.
