August sees the band make a long overdue return to the fabulous Boom Boom Club in Sutton. We always enjoy playing this venue and look forward to seeing you there.Formed during 2002, the philosophy behind Dire Fakes has always been to replicate as closely as possible the sound and feel of Dire Straits, in many cases using the same or similar equipment to that used by Dire Straits themselves. Taking our favourite live versions of the songs as the basis for our performance, we play extended versions of many Dire Straits classics, featuring the more complex arrangements often only found in these live versions. We've been entertaining audiences in the UK and Europe for the past 8 years.
