Awesome to see them still going strong - One of the best live bands on the planet. Highlight of my life was meeting Dave Byron. Long time fan...Keep it up boys - Can't wait for the new CD.
Hugely underrated band. Saw them in mid 70's on Firefly Tour. Very loud and lots of spandex!
can't wait-a very underrated and unfairly derided band. they've had many a great musician over the years such as lee kerslake, gary thain, ken hensley and, of course, the ever present and exceptional mick box and although they might represent the 'glory days' subsequent line ups have not disgraced the name. have to admit though that, for me, david byron could never be equalled; but no disrespect to those that followed , especially bernie shaw who is no slouch vocally. their 35th anniversary box set was a great example of what a box set should be- a great mix of album tracks and live stuff/demos etc. genuinely worth listening to. a great history of a great band. hope they play scotland.
'Got every single one of 'Heep's albums, they were the first live act I ever saw....East Ham Granada, ...November '74 I think, one of my favourite band's ever since!
